Integrative Therapies

Our commitment to enhancing the overall well-being of our residents goes beyond traditional programming. Through our multi-sensory programming, residents participate in activities that stimulate each of their senses. By tailoring our activities to focus on the five senses, we not only encourage cognitive stimulation and emotional well-being but also create opportunities for socialization, physical engagement, and continuity of lifestyle. At Chatham Place at Mary Wade, we believe that embracing the power of the senses is key to promoting a fulfilling and meaningful quality of life for each resident in our community.

We are proud to offer a holistic approach to promoting relaxation and improving the overall well-being of our Residents through Music, Art, Aromatherapy, Mindfulness and Pet Therapy. Aromatherapy harnesses the power of essential oils to stimulate the brain’s emotional center, inducing a state of relaxation. Pet Therapy have been shown to increase brain activity and boost serotonin levels in seniors, enhancing mood and overall health. Our culinary experiences not only engage the senses through visual appeal, aroma, and tactile sensations but also evoke cherished memories of family traditions, enriching the lives of our Residents. These activities are carefully designed to provide a multi-sensory experience that nurtures the mind, body, and spirit of those in our care.
